Free Stuff at Board Meeting Today at 1:00 pm
Seats and seat cushions, the air you breathe, and
bathroom access will be FREE at the almost monthly
meeting of the EE HOA Board today. Don't miss out on
this local opportunity for observing your elected
officials at work. The teeny,
tiny agenda is
at the end of this memo. That word FREE really got
your attention, didn't it?
Free Coffee & Donuts
The final complimentary coffee & donuts of the season
will take place this Wednesday
at 8:30 a.m. at
the Ramada. Don't miss this opportunity to bid farewell
to our seasonal residents who will soon be heading home
for the summer. Thanks to Tom
Cooke and Craig
Surprise for
sponsoring this event.
Hospitality Team Changes
After four wonderful years leading the Hospitality Team, Marla
Ries has
decided to retire and sit back and enjoy being a guest
at the hospitality events. Kudos to Marla for her
innovative ideas, enthusiasm and energy, and, of course,
for introducing EE to her infamous punch. But fear not,
party goers, Dean
and Robin Lockwood and Nancy
Ferguson have
stepped up and volunteered to lead the Hospitality Team.
We appreciate their community spirit and look forward to
enjoying many fun events in the future.
Hospitality Committee Meeting
The Hospitality Committee and any residents who would
like to join the committee will meet at the Ramada on Wednesday,
April 19, at 10:00 to
plan the next event in May. Everyone who is interested
is welcome to attend.
Wednesday Movie
This week's movie is Charlie
Wilson's War, a comedy-drama based on the real
life story of Texas congressman Charlie Wilson's covert
dealings in Afghanistan, where his efforts to assist
rebels in their war with the Soviets have some
unforeseen and long-reaching effects. The film stars Tom
Hanks and Julia Roberts. Showtime is 7:00
p.m. at
the Ramada. Thanks to Jane
and Eric Ellingson for
sponsoring this popular event.
Book Discussion Group
The EE Book Discussion Group will meet Tuesday,
May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at
the Ramada to discuss THIS
HOUSE OF SKY: Landscapes of a Western Mind by
Ivan Doig. The author is considered the premier writer
of the American West. All are welcome!
To keep everyone reading over the summer months, please
bring titles of a few books that you have enjoyed--bring
paper and pencil to write down the titles that may sound
interesting. See you there!
Lunch at Tohono Chul Gardens
Reminder to the Artisans group members going to Tohono
Chul Gardens for lunch on Tuesday,
April 18, meet
at the Ramada at 11:00 to
carpool. Questions? Contact Barbara
Copeland by
text or call to 952-250-6716.
Trim Those Torches By June 30
If a tall palm tree graces your yard, the glorious
lightning shows of our monsoon season can turn those
hanging fronds into a fiery torch. HOA regulations
require that all tall palms be trimmed to reduce
potential property damage. You may call any tree service
you like for this job. Monstrosity Tree
Service (520-625-8733) may be able to schedule your job
to coincide with common area trimming if you contact
them early.
Attention Yoga Participants
The last class of the season will be on April
26 at 3 p.m. at
the Ramada. Classes will resume in the fall.
